On Guard is an essential oil blend we never leave home without. When we travel, we either diffuse it, use it in a spray for the airplane or hotel, or take a capsule of it in On Guard+. Benefits of On Guard include:

I'm glad that there is a blend like On Guard. There isn't any individual oil that is quite like on guard. I would use melaleuca or tea tree oil to cleanse the skin, but I very much prefer the aroma of On Guard, which consists of Wild Orange, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Clove, and Cinnamon essential oils.

As I discussed in this article, there is synergism in On Guard. I experience better results than I would than just using cinnamon or eucalyptus. For example, cinnamon is a "hot" oil meaning that it may irritate the skin if it is not diluted with a carrier oil due to its concentration of cinnamaldehyde. Adding different oils such as Wild Orange, Rosemary, Eucalyptus to Cinnamon essential oil, reduced the amount of cinnamaldehyde per drop. One drop of On Guard will have a less concentration of cinnamaldehyde than one drop of Cinnamon. As with any doTERRA Essential Oil blend, there are no fillers or additives, it is 100% essential oils. They utilize the highest quality oils. This is especially important when dealing with ANY blend or product claiming to contain Cinnamon essential oil. Although in the spice industry, cinnamon and cassia is used interchangeability (Note: When purchasing spices, true cinnamon is often referred to as Ceylon cinnamon, while cassia is referred to as Saigon Cinnamon, Chinese Cinammon, or false cinnamon), there is an important distinction between cassia and cinnamon essential oil, and a distinction between essential oil from the bark and leaf. With that said, make sure you are utilizing quality oils.

Here are a few way we use On Guard essential oil 3 drops in a diffuser. 2 drops in a small spray bottle, of water. Shake before spraying. Topically (pre-diluted in doTERRA Touch Roll-on)
